Connect a coding agent

If you write code with an AI coding agent, you can connect it to Codalio. Your agent can then read the product requirements you've built in Codalio, without you copying anything by hand.

Codalio works with Cursor and Claude Code through MCP, an open standard that lets AI tools connect to other services.

Get your connection URL

  1. Open the account menu and choose Profile.
  2. Open the Coding Agent tab.
  3. Copy the MCP server URL.

Add it to your agent

Claude Code

Run this in your terminal, replacing the URL with the one you copied:

claude mcp add --transport http codalio <your MCP server URL>

Cursor

In Cursor's settings, add a new MCP server and paste your MCP server URL.

Approve the connection

The first time your agent connects, a browser window opens. Sign in to Codalio and approve the connection. The agent then appears under Connected agents in the Coding Agent tab.

Disconnect an agent

In the Coding Agent tab, find the agent under Connected agents and disconnect it. It loses access straight away.

You can also export your PRD as a Cursor Instruction or Windsurf Instruction file. See Export.
