Finding your way around
Codalio has two main places: the home page, where you start and find projects, and the project page, where you build one product.
The sidebar
The sidebar on the left is always available.
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Home | Back to the home page, where you can describe a new idea. |
| New Project | Start a new project. |
| Recent projects | Jump to the projects you opened most recently. |
| All projects | See every project in your organization. |
| Upgrade plan | Compare plans and upgrade. |
| ? | Start the product tour again. |
You can rename the project you're in from the sidebar. On small screens, open the sidebar with the menu button.
The account menu
Click your profile in the sidebar to open the account menu.
| Item | What it opens |
|---|---|
| Organization | Shows the organization you're working in. If you belong to more than one, switch here. |
| Profile | Your personal settings: profile, default organization, password and coding agent connections. |
| App Settings | Your organization's settings: profile, access, subscription, usage & billing and GitHub. |
| Subscription | Your plan, credits and Cloud Deployment subscriptions. |
| GitHub | Your GitHub connection and where the Codalio GitHub App is installed. |
| Documentation | These guides. |
| Report a bug | Send a bug report with screenshots. See Get help. |
| Contact Support | Email the Codalio team. |
| Sign out | Sign out of Codalio. |
The project page
A project page has three parts.
The chat
The chat is your command center. You talk to Codalio's AI agents here: describe features, answer questions, ask for changes. Under the message box you'll find:
- Attach files: add PDFs, documents or images.
- Give me suggestions and Elaborate more: quick replies when you're not sure how to answer.
- Add to queue: while the AI is still working, queue your next message and it's sent when the current answer finishes.
- Stop generation: stop the current answer.
The PRD canvas
The canvas shows your Product Requirements Document in tabs. Open or close it with the PRD Canvas button. See Vision: your PRD.
The Project Lifecycle bar
The bar along the top shows the five stages of your project: Idea, Vision, Prototype, Build and Launch. Click a stage to open its card, which shows what the stage does, its current status and its main action, such as Generate UI Prototype, Generate Code or Deploy to cloud.
A stage stays locked until the one before it is done. Hover a locked stage to see what you need to finish first.
You'll also find the GitHub button here, which opens your GitHub connection for this project.
The product tour
The first time you open a project, Codalio offers a short guided tour. It comes in two parts: the first covers the chat, and the second starts on its own when your PRD is ready to open. Click Skip to explore on your own. You can restart the tour at any time from the ? button in the sidebar.
