Codalio turns a product idea into a real, working app that you own. You describe what you want in plain language, and Codalio's AI agents write the requirements, design the screens, generate and test the code, push it to your GitHub, and deploy it to the cloud.
You stay in control the whole way. Nothing moves forward until you approve it, and everything Codalio writes can be changed.
How a project moves
Every Codalio project follows the same five stages. You can see them at all times on the Project Lifecycle bar at the top of a project.

Different stage names?
Some workspaces show the older names for the same stages: Product Requirement Document, User Interface, Code Generation and Deploy & Launch. They work exactly the same way.

Key ideas in two minutes
- Your PRD drives everything. The Product Requirements Document is the single source of truth. The prototype, the code and the tests are all built from it. When you change the PRD, Codalio can bring the prototype and code back in line.
- Approvals are checkpoints. Codalio pauses at the important moments (your Product Desk, your design, your prototype) and waits for you.
- Credits pay for AI work. Writing the PRD, building prototypes and generating code use credits. Every plan includes monthly credits, and you can top up at any time. See Plans & credits.
- You own the code. Generated code is pushed to a GitHub repository on your account or organization. There is no lock-in.
